Announcing the 2022 Youth STEM Matters Research Conference

Here at Youth STEM Matters, our youth-led scientific journal, we’re so excited to be bringing back the Youth STEM Matters Research Conference this June!

Taking place virtually on 25th June 2022, 2-6pm BST (GMT+1), the Research Conference will showcase and celebrate the difference that young people are making through STEM research, and equip YOUth with the skills and opportunities to tackle global challenges.  It’s open to youth globally, and is totally free to attend!

The Research Conference will feature a diverse line-up of amazing speakers from around the world, who will share their wealth of knowledge, experience and advice throughout the event.  We’ll be featuring young people’s STEM research and innovations through our Research Showcase, sharing opportunities for you to get involved in Youth STEM Matters, and celebrating our incredible Volunteer Team and Authors through our 2022 Youth STEM Matters Awards.  With a key focus on advancing youth participation in global research and sustainable development, it’s set to be an awesome day of exploring the future of STEM and connecting youth with the opportunities and platforms to drive change for a more sustainable world!

Research Showcase

Have a STEM-based project you want to share with the world?  The Research Showcase is the platform for YOUth!  You’ll get the chance to display your project at the Research Conference in our virtual STEM exhibition, and we’ve also got several spaces in our programme for young people to give a 10 minute talk about your project live on our virtual stage.  Youth globally aged 22 & under can apply (as an individual or a team), by completing our short application form.

Applications must be submitted by the deadline on Wednesday 15th June, 17:00 BST (GMT+1).
